What is the TMAThe Illinois-Grand Corridor Transportation Management Association (TMA) was formally created on May 6, 1998. TMA members include the original three corridor developers (John Buck Company, Lehman Brothers, and MCL Companies), plus the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority, the City of Chicago's Department of Planning and Development, the City of Chicago's Department of Transportation, and the Chicago Transit Authority. Alderman Burton Natarus of the 42nd Ward is an ex-officio member of the Board. Beginning in 2005, a new developer, Golub & Company, officially joined the TMA. TMA traffic engineering consulting services are provided by T.Y. Lin International. These services include coordinating corridor construction activities, tracking the status of new corridor developments, identifying and correcting traffic congestion hotspots, monitoring the operation of the Illinois-Grand Corrdor TMA FREE Trolley service, working with Alderman Natarus and the City of Chicago to update parking and traffic ordinances and signing on a timely basis, conducting regular traffic operations meetings with public agency and community representatives and providing Illinois-Grand Corridor TMA website services. |
