John Ferguson, P.E., Honored with DBIA Transportation Leadership Award
John Ferguson, P.E., T.Y. Lin International Vice President and Alternative Delivery Program Director, received the 2012 Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) Transportation Leadership Award in the Industry Professional/Practitioner category. Ferguson was recognized for his contributions to both DBIA and the design and construction industry. The award was presented on Thursday, April 26th at the 2012 Design-Build in Transportation Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.

David Goodyear, PE, SE, Receives Post-Tensioning Institute Fellow Award
David Goodyear, PE, SE, T.Y. Lin International Senior Vice President and Chief Bridge Engineer, was recently selected as the 2012 recipient of the Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI) Fellow Award for his outstanding contributions to the post-tensioning industry and significant contributions to PTI committees. Goodyear received the award at the PTI Convention on May 8, 2012 in Nashville, Tennessee. San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge Featured on NPR's Science Friday
The new San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge was featured on a live broadcast of NPR's "Science Friday". Marwan Nader, PhD, lead design engineer for the new eastern span of the Bay Bridge, discussed features that give the bridge the flexibility to withstand the 'Big One'.
