Kiran B. Patel, P.E., PMP, CPM, Hired as Group Leader of Construction Management for T.Y. Lin International’s East Region

T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that Kiran B. Patel, P.E., PMP, CPM, has joined the firm as Group Leader of Construction Management for TYLI’s East Region, which includes the states of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Based in Hamilton, New Jersey, Patel will provide leadership in business development and project management activities, and will be responsible for construction management/construction inspection (CM/CI) project performance, including financial results, quality of deliverables, adherence to schedules, and overall client satisfaction.

With over 24 years of experience in the management of complex infrastructure projects and associated engineering and construction teams, civil and structural design, and highway construction processes, Patel comes to TYLI from the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), where he served as Director (Deputy State Transportation Engineer) of the Division of Construction Services and Materials. In his role, Patel managed a staff of 500 employees and more than 200 consultants of various disciplines in the delivery of Capital Project construction and material inspection activities. Patel was also in charge of New Jersey’s Highway and Bridge Construction Capital Program, directing more than 150 active projects and over $1 billion in contract payouts annually.

“Kiran has overseen some of New Jersey’s most high-profile infrastructure projects, such as the Route 52 Causeway, the Route 7 Wittpenn Bridge Reconstruction, and initial contracts for the Lincoln Tunnel Access program,” said Robert Radley, P.E., TYLI Senior Vice President and East Region Director. “His proven skills in team leadership and project management make him an exceptionally important asset for T.Y. Lin International.”

A licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Patel received a B.S.C.E. from Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya (BVM) Engineering College, Sardar Patel University, in Vidhyanagar, Gujarat, India. He is a certified Project Management Professional and a member of the Project Management Institute. Patel also represented NJDOT on AASHTO’s Subcommittee on Highway and Construction as an Executive Committee member.
