BART Silicon Valley Berryessa Extension Project Breaks Ground

The Silicon Valley Berryessa Extension Project (SVBX), the 10-mile, first phase of a 16-mile Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) line extension from Fremont to Milpitas, San Jose and Santa Clara, California, had an historic groundbreaking ceremony on April 12, 2012. T.Y. Lin International (TYLI) is serving as the Joint Venture Prime Designer on the Skanska-Shimmick-Herzog Joint Venture team for Phase 1 of the $2.3 billion, BART line extension from Warm Springs to the Berryessa area of San Jose.
