The proposed Downtown Line Stage 3 (DTL3) will be an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) System extending from Downtown Line Stage 1 (DTL1) Chinatown Station through MacPherson, Bedok Reservoir, and Tampines, and ending at the East-West Line Expo Station. It consists of 16 stations and a total route length of about 23 kilometers, including connection to Kim Chuan Depot. The Project is divided into three packages: A, B and C.
The contract for DTL3 Package B was awarded to T.Y. Lin International Pte Ltd/Ong & Ong Pte Ltd JV, with T.Y. Lin International Pte Ltd named as the Lead Consultant. DTL3 Package includes five underground MRT stations with 9 kilometers of tunnel boring machine (TBM) tunnels.
Project Highlights (DTL-3 Package B):
- Packaged into six contracts for construction
- Involves covering stations; cut & cover tunnels; TBM & NATM tunnels; escape shafts; cross passages
- Rolling stock comprised of 3-car train (70 meters)
- Features of underground stations:
- 25 - 30 meters deep, 130 - 150 meters long, 24 - 34 meters wide
- Four standard stations and one civil defense station
- Four island platforms and one side platform
- Construction of station, cut & cover tunnels or escape shafts by braced excavation
- Bored tunnels: 13 kilometers in length (9 kilometer mainline, 4 kilometer reception track)
- Bored tunnels: 6.35 meter diameter by EPB TBMs
- Cross passages: by mining (NATM)

- Lead Consultant - Spearhead, plan and manage the Architectural and Engineering (A&E) Consultancy Services to produce a complete design for DTL3 Package B
- Civil & Structural (C&S) Engineering Consultancy Services
- Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineering Consultancy Services (building services, utilities diversions, CSD/SEM drawings)
