Port of Oakland Capital Improvement Projects
TYLin oversaw the planning, management, and construction of the Port of Oakland Capital Improvements Projects in Oakland, California.
One of the United States’ busiest ports, the Port of Oakland was the first major port in the nation to build terminals for container ships on the Pacific Coast. The Port underwent a series of improvements as part of the capital improvements projects.
TYLin’s scope of work included the design and construction of additional container terminals and intermodal rail facilities.
Significantly increasing the productivity of the port, the intermodal rail facilities provide the near-seamless transfer and movement of container cargo from Oakland, on the west coast, to cities in the eastern section of the United States.
