T.Y. Lin International To Open Downtown Albany Office
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, has chosen One Commerce Plaza at 99 Washington Avenue in Albany, New York for its newest location. With more than 50 offices throughout the Americas and Asia Pacific, TYLI provides a spectrum of engineering services on both large and small projects in various markets.
“This new office, an expansion of our Facilities Group, represents our latest investment in the upstate economy and continues our commitment to delivering innovative design services across New York state,” said Jim Krapf, Facilities Group Director. “Furthermore, having a local presence will improve the relationships we’ve established with many state agencies and give us better access to additional stakeholders and decision makers.”
TYLI anticipates hiring several people within its first year of operation in the Capital Region to support growth efforts. Positions will include engineering, architectural, technical, and administrative staff. Other offices in New York state include Buffalo, Rochester and New York City. A grand opening celebration is planned for Thursday, March 7th.
The firm’s portfolio in the Empire State includes the Civic Center Plaza Rehabilitation project in Rochester, Statewide Energy Analysis services for NYSERDA, the Norfolk-Southern Railroad Bridge in West Seneca, and The Port Authority and the Second Avenue Subway project, both in New York City.
