T.Y. Lin International Named 2014 Firm of the Year by Construction Management Association of America, San Diego Chapter

T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that TYLI has been named 2014 Firm of the Year by the Construction Management Association of America’s (CMAA) San Diego Chapter. The award is presented to engineering and construction management firms whose active membership has demonstrated significant ongoing leadership and support for CMAA and the construction management industry at large. Joseph Smith, P.E., C.C.M., TYLI Vice President, accepted the Firm of the Year Award at the annual CMAA-SD Project Achievement Awards Banquet and Scholarship Dinner on April 10, 2014 in San Diego, California.

Lin International has been named 2014 Firm of the Year by the Construction Management Association of America’s San Diego Chapter,” said Smith. “On behalf of our firm’s Southern California Construction Management Group, I look forward to continuing our support of the association as well as our commitment to advancing the construction management industry throughout the southern California region.”

With offices in San Diego, Riverside, Orange County and Los Angeles, TYLI’s Southern California Construction Management Group serves public agencies and private clients with construction inspection, resident engineering, constructability reviews, and contract administration.

In addition to being named 2014 Firm of the Year, TYLI was also honored with a 2014 CMAA-SD Project Achievement Award - Award of Excellence, Transportation, $5-15 Million - for the North Torrey Pines Road Bridge Retrofit project in Del Mar, California. TYLI was responsible for all construction management services for this important project, which involved a staged construction strategy to ensure limited interruptions to the traveling public or the railroad. Wade Durant, P.E., TYLI Resident Engineer for the North Torrey Pines Road Bridge Retrofit project, accepted the Project Achievement Award at the annual Awards Banquet and Scholarship Dinner.
