T.Y. Lin International Expands California Operations with New Office in Los Angeles
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that TYLI has officially opened a new office in Los Angeles in order to better serve its growing list of clients in Southern California. Located at 660 S. Figueroa Street, Suite 1750, TYLI’s Los Angeles office will provide full-service engineering design in support of the firm’s recently-awarded contract for California’s new high-speed passenger rail system.

Raymond “Ray” Fares, P.E., Transportation Director for TYLI’s Los Angeles market, will oversee its transportation engineering practice. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Fares has managed numerous large and complex infrastructure improvement programs and projects throughout the state of California, involving highway, transit, and buildings/facilities and utilizing both design-bid-build and design-build delivery methods.
TYLI’s five-year, $46.1 million environmental/engineering services contract from the California High-Speed Rail Authority is for the 85-mile Bakersfield to Palmdale Section of the State’s new high-speed passenger rail system. The Section, which will travel from Bakersfield and cross the Tehachapi Mountains into the Antelope Valley, is a crucial part of the 330-mile Initial Operating Section scheduled to open by 2022.
