T.Y. Lin International Hires Terry Lee Kiter, P.E., as Aviation Group Leader for New York Metropolitan Area
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that Terry Lee Kiter, P.E., has joined the firm as the new Group Leader, Aviation for the greater New York metropolitan area. Kiter will work closely with TYLI’s Regional and Aviation Line of Business teams to develop and expand new business opportunities and maintain and extend existing business relationships for the firm’s East Region. He will also serve as Project Manager or other key team member on Aviation airside and/or landside projects.
Kiter comes to TYLI having held significant management roles in the Aviation infrastructure industry throughout his 30-year career. These include overseeing the pursuit of large Capital Projects and the planning, design, and construction of Aviation projects for most public agencies in the New York metropolitan area.
Among his numerous projects, Kiter served as Project Manager for both the design of the move of Building 1 at Newark-Liberty International Airport and the design of an ALZ (C-17 Assault Landing Zone) Runway at Lakehurst Naval Air Engineering Station, both in New Jersey. He also served as the Onsite Airside Program Manager for the LaGuardia Airport Central Terminal Building Redevelopment Program in New York City.
Also for LaGuardia Airport, Kiter recently served as Project Manager for design tasks to prevent future flooding at the airport. His international projects include acting as an Onsite Airside Technical Advisor to the United States Department of State - Millennium Challenge Corporation for the construction of a new terminal, aircraft ramp, and runway at Bamako-Senou Airport in the Republic of Mali.

A registered Professional Engineer in the State of New York, Kiter is an active member of the American Council of Engineering Companies (New York Chapter), the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Association of Airport Executives, and the New York Building Congress. He received a Bachelor of Science from Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan.
