T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, has hired Mark A. Based in the firm’s Chicago, Illinois, office, Wisthuff will provide interdisciplinary technical coordination and design oversight for TYLI’s work on the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Red and Purple Modernization Project.

Wisthuff comes to TYLI with more than 30 years of experience as a design and construction consultant serving numerous private and public sector clients. “T.Y. Lin International’s Red and Purple Modernization Project team could not have asked for a better partner for the delivery of such a complex project. Mark’s attention to detail and his exceptional ability to work collaboratively brings value to every aspect of the project,” said Daniel Drew, TYLI Vice President and Chicago Unit Manager. “We are very fortunate that Mark has joined our team so that his extensive expertise and positive approach to management can be shared throughout the firm.”

Wisthuff’s past projects include managing his firm’s work for design and construction administration of three mid-rise condominium buildings, the at-risk construction of an IBX data center, and the turnkey rollout of a new regional retail banking market. His responsibilities on these projects included estimating, procurement, contract administration, value engineering, and construction management in various delivery formats.

Wisthuff received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies, a Master of Architecture, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is registered as a Licensed Architect in the state of Illinois.
