T.Y. Lin International Hires Lora Supencheck, P.E., as Principal Civil Engineer for Chicago Office

T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that Lora Supencheck, P.E., has been hired as Principal Civil Engineer for TYLI's office in Chicago, Illinois. In her role, Supencheck will serve as Project Manager or Project Engineer with a primary focus on surface transportation projects for clients such as the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), Illinois Tollway, Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT), and local counties and municipalities.

Supencheck joins TYLI with 20 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in transportation design, transportation planning, and traffic engineering. Her expertise includes traffic studies, traffic data analyses and modeling, roadway geometrics, earthwork and grading, and the preparation of plans, specifications, estimates of cost (PS&E), and project technical reports. Her management experience includes preparing contracts, work plans, quality plans, and the oversight of project budgets and subconsultants.

Past projects for Supencheck include serving as Project Manager for the Reagan Memorial Tollway Roadway and Bridge Rehabilitation from Aurora Toll Plaza to IL 59, the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) Interchange Improvements project, and the I-294 159th Street (U.S. 6) Bridge Reconstruction and Ramp Rehabilitation project, all for Illinois Tollway. She also served as the Project Engineer and Roadway Design Lead responsible for the preparation of final contract plans and PS&E for the replacement and reconstruction of the existing East River Road Bridge over I-90 and the construction of a new Cumberland Flyover structure on eastbound I-90, both for IDOT and CDOT.

A registered Professional Engineer in Illinois, Supencheck received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. She remains active in important industry organizations such as the Greater Chicago Chapter of WTS, for which she has served as Treasurer and Chapter Vice President, and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Illinois.
