T.Y. Lin International Hires Kevin M. Cornish, P.E., as Transportation Growth Leader, Americas


T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that Kevin M. Cornish, P.E., has been hired as Senior Vice President and Transportation Growth Leader, Americas. Cornish joins TYLI’s Transportation Sector leadership team to support the strategic growth and client management goals of the firm’s Aviation, Bridges, Rail + Transit, Roads + Highways, and Ports + Marine market sectors.

Cornish joins TYLI with 33 years of extensive industry and practice leadership experience, with a keen focus on transportation infrastructure planning, engineering, and construction. His expertise includes overseeing and connecting transportation practices and facilitating collaboration for key market sectors such as surface transportation, aviation, rail and transit, freight rail, ports and marine, complex bridges, tunnels, intelligent transportation systems, and asset management.

Cornish’s project experience ranges from design engineering and project management to the construction inspection of major transportation projects, including alternative and design-build (D-B) project delivery. Past projects include serving as Project Executive and Director (Design) for the $1.3 billion I-595 Express Corridor Improvements D-B project in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He also served as Project Manager for the Susquehanna River Bridge Replacement in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and as Project Director (design subcontractor) for the $1 billion public-private partnership (P3) Port of Miami Tunnel project in Miami, Florida.

A registered Professional Engineer in Florida and Pennsylvania, Cornish received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Cornish remains active in numerous industry organizations and was recently elected as a Vice Chair At-Large for the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA). He is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITSA), and the International Bridge, Tunnel, and Turnpike Association (IBTTA).
