T.Y. Lin International Wins 2018 NSBA Prize Bridge Award for Sellwood Bridge Replacement in Portland, Oregon

T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized, full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that the Sellwood Bridge Replacement project in Portland, Oregon, has won the prestigious 2018 Prize Bridge Award in the Major Span category from the National Steel Bridge Alliance (NSBA). TYLI served as Prime Consultant, Final Design, on the fast-track project, as well as lead structural engineer during the Environmental Impact Study Phase. The firm worked closely with the project owner, Multnomah County, design subconsultant CH2M, geotechnical subconsultant Cornforth Consultants, Inc., and Construction Manager/General Contractor Slayden/Sundt Joint Venture. The Sellwood Bridge opened to traffic on February 29, 2016.

Niagara Falls State Park Rehabilitation in New York Nears Completion

TYLI was retained by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (NYSOPRHP) for a multi-year term agreement to develop the comprehensive capital rehabilitation and improvement plan for the park. Serving as Prime Consultant for the five-year project, TYLI oversaw the work of a seven-firm team for the numerous renovations. Contributing disciplines included site/civil, geotechnical, structural, environmental, mechanical, and electrical engineering; surveying; landscape architecture; and architecture.
