T.Y. Lin International led the design of this landmark span which complements one of the foremost engineering wonders of the world—the Hoover Dam. Part of the four-lane Hoover Dam Bypass Project, the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge or Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge is the highest and longest single span concrete arch bridge in the Western Hemisphere.
The Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge is a unique concrete-steel hybrid – the first of its kind in the U.S. The bridge is the longest concrete arch span in North America with a 1060-ft main span. The twin-ribbed arch supports the tallest precast, segmental concrete columns in the world.
