The Municipal Infrastructure Group Ltd., a T.Y. Lin International Company (TMIG), provided engineering services for landowners in the Scott Neighbourhood in Milton, Ontario, Canada.
The Scott Neighbourhood includes 400 hectares (988.4 acres) of land within the Sherwood Survey Community. The multiphase development includes low- and medium-density residential housing, schools, parks, and other recreational facilities. Building on existing Halton Region infrastructure, the new infrastructure as part of this project supports both current and future development plans.
TMIG’s specific areas of responsibility included water, sanitary, storm drainage, and quality management, as well as road and lot grading for approximately 2,400 homes.
- TMIG performed Subwatershed Impact Studies, Functional Servicing Studies, and other required studies for the entire development.
- Phasing of the works required interim water servicing via pressure reducing valve (PRV) chambers.
- TMIG set the standard for the Region’s PRV chambers.
