Refurbishment and adaptation for change of use project.

Property: Government  of Mexico.

Builder: Consorcio LAMAT. Mota-Engil.

Technical Data

Steel arch built in 1950 with concrete approach spans. Mixed road and rail traffic.

Overall length: 190 m.

Span length: 20+150+20 m.

Pathologies: Steel structure: localized loss of material in some elements and corrosion. Concrete structure: cracking and superficial damage.

Repair actions: Strengthening of steel elements and repair of the steel and concrete structures. Replacement of the railroad area with a new pedestrian platform, as the railway traffic on the bridge disappears.
