We seek out and solve complex problems that arise at the intersection of people, transportation, and the environment. From master planning to final delivery, we use big data and emerging technologies to catalyze smarter, safer, more livable, and more equitable places.
A purpose-driven, specialty practice housed within a global firm with global resources, we have four critical, overlapping areas of focus: population density; transportation of people, goods, and services; the environment; and digital systems and infrastructure.
Our visionary team applies what we know from working in some of the most complex metropolises in the world to untangle gridlocked systems, modernize and future-proof critical infrastructure and, above all, unlock the potential in places of all sizes.

Urban environments are more than concrete, brick and steel—they are critical social and economic infrastructure. We believe they are epicenters of possibility and a powerful tool for addressing inequities.
Cities, towns, and suburbs aren’t separate from the natural world; they’re inextricable from it. Our work seeks to protect and enhance ecosystems, mitigate risks from climate change, and advance decarbonization.
Our transportation systems should be as diverse as the communities they support. We strive for an accessible world in which walking, biking, rolling, and transit are safe, convenient, and enjoyable options.
No two places are identical. By integrating data science and technology with our extensive expertise in planning, policy, and design, we craft unconventional solutions that are carefully customized to suit each client’s individual circumstances and ambitions.
Today’s environments are complex, dynamic systems. Working at every scale of urbanization, from small towns to major centers, our interventions address a broad spectrum of interrelated issues, meeting both current challenges and an array of possible future scenarios.
Michael is committed to client service and developing smart, safe, sustainable, and equitable solutions that address complex transportation and urban challenges.
