Madinah Haram Expansion Crowd Monitoring System
TYLin developed a crowd monitoring system for the Madinah Haram in Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
The Madinah Haram, or the Prophet’s Mosque, is one of the most sacred and revered places for Muslims around the world. As part of a phased expansion to accommodate 1.6 million worshippers, TYLin designed a state-of-the-art crowd monitoring system. The expansion allows more visitors to pray comfortably and improves safety and security for those who visit.
The crowd monitoring system utilizes an overhead-mounted camera system with advanced video analytics to assess crowd density, flow, and total count. It utilizes heuristics and advanced image processing techniques to constantly monitor the entire facility and alert the operator of any dangerous crowding conditions.
Project Highlights:
- The crowd monitoring system provides a state-of-the-art solution to address the challenges of managing large crowds in a safe and efficient manner.
- The system tracks the number of people entering and exiting the mosque.
- Real-time data analysis is used to identify mosque areas that are congested and require additional monitoring or management.
