The Women Builders Council (WBC) named TYLin’s Tricia Quan Kep, Business Development Manager, Americas, an Outstanding Woman Builder as part of its 17th Annual Champion Awards Gala. The WBC represents women in the construction industry, with a special focus on leadership, and is one of the leading voices for women business owners and women professionals in construction.

An immigrant from Trinidad and Tobago, Tricia received her certification in Construction Management from Pace University in New York in 2014. In her role, she determines long-term marketing strategic goals and operational activities, identifies business opportunities, and has extensive knowledge of current market conditions. She works with technical staff and other professionals to meet client needs. As a mentor to others, she strives to be openminded, learn from mentees, and accept differing opinions to create relationships that are mutually respectful and enjoyable.

Tricia is also a founding member of TYLin’s diversity, equity, and inclusion group, known as BUILD. They represent the company’s commitment to bridging the disparity gap in employment, education, and skill-building to advance change for the betterment of people, clients, and communities.

She is a team builder and problem solver who is very active in industry organizations such as WBC, WTS International, the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE), the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), the New York Building Congress (NYBC), and the Metropolitan Railway Club of New York.
