Adriano has 30 years of Florida highway and traffic control design experience garnered by his involvement in many projects at both the planning and final stages. He has held leadership roles in major limited-access PPP and design-build projects.
Adriano’s hands-on approach from initial concept stage through construction, to traffic opening have, been crucial to their success. His expertise includes diverging diamond interchanges, complex geometric designs, civil, rail and track design, signing, striping, lighting, traffic engineering, traffic control, typical sections, cost estimates, traffic, and geometric concept analysis and design.
His international experience centers on multi-billion-dollar landmark projects such as the multimodal corridors for the Panama Metro Lines 1 and 2, Tocumen International Airport Terminal Expansion expressway and access roads (Global Award Winner ENR 2019), the Panama Canal 4th Bridge Crossing/Metro Line 3 and Panama Cinta Costera 3 Causeway (Global Award Winner ENR 2015). As the leader of TYLin’s National Highway Special Designs and Innovations Group, he introduced the first two Diverging Diamond Interchanges (DDI) in South Florida and is leading the study of the first Center Turn Overpass (CTO) in the US, a new and emerging concept that greatly improves capacity and safety at large signalized intersections.
