Originally trained as a structural engineer, Matt’s career has evolved to include leadership on complex projects across buildings’ disciplines. He has consistently sought out and thrived in the paradigm of existing and heritage buildings, collaborating with design teams to leverage value within the constraints they present.

Matt is the Associate Vice President for Growth, leading TYLin Canada’s Buildings team in the Toronto office, and is the leader of the structural engineering discipline for Canada. With over 24 years of engineering experience delivering projects across market sectors, he brings a depth of experience coordinating integrated design teams focused on delivering solutions and realizing the client’s vision for success. Matt thrives in a collaborative, creative environment where he is able to drive excellence, improve the project approach, and focus the team on our clients’ success. Matt has a strong background in sustainability, having built his career around projects and clients who drive change through their work.
