T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that James Gregg, P.E., has joined TYLI as Unit Manager for the firm’s Mid-Atlantic offices. Based in TYLI’s Alexandria, Virginia, office, Gregg will play a critical role in shaping, building, and growing the firm’s surface transportation engineering services throughout the Mid-Atlantic.

Gregg joins TYLI with over 18 years of structural engineering and design team leadership experience, with a focus on bridge design projects across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States. His project management experience includes highway and rail bridge/structures projects involving bridge design, National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) inspection, rating, and the rehabilitation of non-complex and complex structures such as long-span trusses, movable bridges, and cable-stayed bridges.

Gregg’s experience includes projects ranging in size from large, complex bridge design projects, such as the Purple Line Light Rail Transit project in Maryland, to smaller bridge maintenance projects in Mississippi. He also has experience with alternative project delivery methods, including Design-Build, Public Private Partnerships (P3s), and erection engineering.

“James is an excellent addition to our senior leadership team in the Mid-Atlantic,” said Robert Radley, TYLI Senior Vice President and East Region Director. “His blend of proven project and staff management skills, along with his demonstrated commitment to client satisfaction, will be a great asset to TYLI’s East Region. James will focus on and orchestrate the delivery of our strategic marketing and business development plans for Virginia, Washington, D.C., Maryland, and North Carolina as we continue to grow our surface transportation services in the region.”

A registered professional engineer in Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Mississippi, and Louisiana, Gregg earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).
