The Hoover Dam Bypass/Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge was named the Outstanding Project by the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA) for best overall engineering achievement in the New Bridge and Transportation Structures category. The NCSEA Excellence in Structural Engineering Awards recognize creative achievement and highlight some of the best examples of structural ingenuity throughout the world.

T.Y. Lin International (TYLI) received the Outstanding Bridge and Transportation Project award at NCSEA’s Annual Excellence in Structural Engineering Awards Banquet held on October 22, 2012 in Oklahoma City, OK.

The Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge is the western hemisphere’s highest and longest single span concrete arch bridge, with a remarkable 1060-foot main span. David Goodyear, TYLI’s Chief Bridge Engineer, led the design of the landmark span, which now complements one of the foremost engineering wonders of the world – Hoover Dam. The new bridge officially opened in October 2010 as the Mike O’Callaghan - Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge in memory of two heroes of the US armed forces from the States of Nevada and Arizona.
