T.Y. Lin International Wins 2012 Prize Bridge Awards from the National Steel Bridge Alliance
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, won two awards from the National Steel Bridge Alliance (NSBA). The Tempe Town Lake Pedestrian Bridge received the 2012 Prize Bridge Award in the Special Purpose category and the East-Tie-In Structure, San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge East Span Replacement received the 2012 Accelerated Bridge Construction Commendation. The awards were announced on July 10, 2012 at the Annual Meeting for AASHTO Subcommittee on Bridges and Structures held in Austin, TX.
Conducted by the NSBA, the Prize Bridge Awards Competition honors outstanding and innovative steel bridges constructed in the U.S. This year’s competition attracted nearly 70 entries and included a variety of bridge structure types and construction methods. Award winnners were selected based on innovation, aesthetics and design, and engineering solutions. Winning projects were featured in the June 2012 issue of Modern Steel Construction.
