Hugh’s comprehensive approach delivers innovative, impactful designs – for his clients and the industry at large.

Hugh has led some of the most challenging rail and transit projects in the world and has been recognized for his contributions to his clients, team, and the profession.

Over the years, his experience as a civil design manager and engineer has earned him the reputation as an expert in rail transit and freight rail projects across North America, contributing to many award-winning projects, such as the Whittier Tunnel, the only combined-use highway/railway tunnel in the world. He has also enjoyed the practical application of his work when he had the opportunity to drive a streetcar for the McKinney Avenue Transit Authority in Dallas, TX.

Through his involvement with industry associations and advisory committees, he has taken on leadership roles and regularly shares his research and projections with colleagues through conferences, webinars, and whitepapers.
