Chris has a passion for solving mobility challenges and integrating active modes of transportation into designs to enhance how people, place, and communities connect.

Chris has experience on numerous active transportation focused projects in various stages from system planning, concept development, and final design. As a bicycle commuter with nearly 20,000 miles of road cycling experience to his credit; Chris is passionate about providing active transportation facilities and is well versed in the nuances of designing for all ages and abilities.

He has worked on transportation projects ranging in scope from pavement preservation to urban freeway interchange construction. He provides key design elements, utility and right-of-way coordination, cost estimation, and project specifications contributing to successful construction phases.

Chris leads TYLin’s active transportation design team across the southwest, with experience on a variety of pedestrian, bicycle, and multi-modal roadway and trail projects. His background includes roadway and bicycle lane design, including bicycle buffers, protected bike lanes, intersections with a focus on bicycle and pedestrian access, roundabouts, signing and striping, transit shelter and facilities, place-making element incorporation, and stakeholder coordination.

Most recently, Chris has been managing TYLin’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Design Assistance on-call contract for the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) and developed concept and preliminary design documentation for a variety of bike and pedestrian improvements throughout the MAG region.
