Mesh Enclosures

Mesh enclosures are by nature tensile structures without the membrane.

They are generally of stainless-steel mesh and are most often used to enclose animal exhibits at zoos, botanical gardens, and sports venues. The Lightweight Structures Group designed mesh enclosures starting in the 1970s at European zoos and has continued this work on two ongoing projects. Using woven wire-mesh products, custom woven wire fabrication, and wire screens, we can provide design and full engineering services for this specialized structural application.
