TYLin was responsible for the planning of all landside infrastructure for Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) in Guangzhou, China.
As one of the country’s three largest airports, CAN plays an important role in the Pearl River Delta region of southern China and services significant domestic and international passenger volume and cargo.
TYLin’s planning services included a needs analysis of all landside transportation facilities. These included Terminal 2 and its surrounding road networks, the transportation connection points between Terminals 1 and 2, and the curbside network, parking system, and ground transportation center.
- TYLin’s analysis utilized TRAFFIX and VISSIM simulations to assess the best solutions for the landside transportation system.
- CAN was the first airport on the China mainland to be designed and constructed according to the airport hub model.
