Centennial Park District Master Plan

TYLin is integral to the revitalization efforts of Philadelphia's Centennial District, a cherished collection of historic parks and cultural institutions established in 1876 within Fairmount Park. Partnering with Olin Studio and other consultants, we dived into understanding the park's existing conditions and traffic patterns, particularly the flows from neighboring communities. This comprehensive analysis informs actionable strategies to enhance the park environment, including reorienting roads within the district and implementing improvements for public transit access, parking facilities, bicycling infrastructure, and pedestrian pathways. By addressing longstanding challenges stemming from underinvestment and navigating complex jurisdictional responsibilities between city and state agencies, TYLin endeavors to rejuvenate this iconic green space and restore its significance as a vibrant cultural and recreational destination for generations to come.
