Fordham Road Bus Priority Improvements

The alternatives included the potential for offset bus lanes and/or exclusive busways in one or both directions. Traffic analyses were performed for over 70 intersections along Fordham Road and West 207th Street and accounted for anticipated diversions to alternate routes and parallel corridors such as East 188th Street, East Kingsbridge Road, Webster Avenue, and University Avenue. The TYLin team was responsible for compiling existing traffic data, conducting traffic and parking observations, and performing traffic analysis of existing and future conditions using Synchro. Following the stakeholder and community engagement effort, a preferred future alternative will be selected for design and implementation.
