Los Angeles Unified School District Electrification Study
TYLin developed an Electrification Playbook that lays out strategies for the LAUSD fleet to achieve full electrification.
The Playbook draws upon an analysis of LAUSD’s current fleet conditions, gathered through an interactive workshop and available data from the District and peer agencies. TYLin conducted an in-depth routing analysis to determine whether electric bus technology can meet LAUSD’s operational needs with recommendations to mitigate range anxiety. TYLin also developed potential implementation pathways into a lifecycle cost model to determine preferred options that fed into the final Playbook.
