TYLin provided design and engineering services for landowners in the Scott Neighbourhood in Milton, Ontario, Canada.
The Scott Neighbourhood included 400 hectares (988 acres) of land within the Sherwood Survey Community. The multiphase development included low- and medium-density residential housing, schools, parks, and other recreational facilities. Building on the existing infrastructure of Halton Region, the project accommodated proposed and future development plans.
TYLin’s specific areas of responsibility included drinking water, sanitary systems, storm drainage, and quality management, as well as road and lot grading for approximately 2,400 homes.
- TYLin performed Subwatershed Impact Studies, Functional Servicing Studies, and other required studies for the entire development.
- Phasing of the works required interim water servicing via pressure reducing valve (PRV) chambers.
- TYLin set the standard for the Region’s PRV chambers.
- The project was completed by The Municipal Infrastructure Group Ltd (TMIG), now doing business as TYLin.
