SR 826 - NW 25th Street Interchange
TYLin was on the team for the design and construction of improvements to four entrance and exit ramp structures for the SR 826 - NW 25th Street Interchange project in Miami, Florida.
The Palmetto Expressway (SR 826) extends 24.4 miles from Pinecrest and U.S. 1 at the southern end to I-95 and North Miami Beach at the northern end. One of most-heavily traveled roadways in South Florida, SR 826 originally opened in 1961 as a bypass route around the urbanized area of Miami. It is now a major limited-access urban expressway centrally located in Miami-Dade County.
TYLin’s services included designing new retaining walls along SR 826, reviewing all bridge plans, providing cost estimates, and performing construction phase services.
Project Highlights:
- Construction plans included highway, ramps, geotechnical exploration, drainage, right-of-way, signing and pavement markings, lighting, and landscaping.
- TYLin provided extensive maintenance of traffic plans.
