T.Y. Lin International Hires Jodi Ketelsen as Project Manager (Environmental) and Northern California Environmental Services Manager

T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that Jodi Ketelsen has been hired as Project Manager (Environmental) and Northern California Environmental Services Manager. Ketelsen’s responsibilities include applying her technical expertise to the planning, preparation, and development of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and other environmental compliance documents, as well as providing project management and production supervision for multiple TYLI offices.

Based out of the firm’s office in Sacramento, California, Ketelsen joins TYLI with 24 years of experience, including the management of complex, multimodal projects in five states. Her skills include facilitating contentious alternative analysis processes, serving as Project Manager for large environmental documentation efforts, and managing multi-disciplinary teams. Ketelsen has successfully overseen NEPA and other state environmental processes for new and expanding state highway corridor and aviation projects. Her extensive experience also includes transit projects, where she has led environmental efforts and implemented regional outreach and consensus building strategies.

“Jodi comes to T.Y. Lin International with a reputation as a highly-regarded, national NEPA advisor and an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on schedule and on budget,” said Michael F. Pyrz, P.E., Vice President, TYLI Northern California District Director. “We look forward to seeing Jodi’s contributions to the T.Y. Lin International team as we serve a wide, ever-expanding range of public and private clients in the District.”

Ketelsen’s past projects include serving as Environmental Project Manager for On-call Environmental Services for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 4 in the San Francisco Bay Area. In that role, she led public and agency outreach, along with NEPA and CEQA environmental development, for two Marin County SR 1 projects, the Olema Creek Tributary Culvert Replacement Project and the Lagunitas Creek Bridge Project.

Her projects in the state of Washington include serving as Environmental Lead for the Center City Connector in Seattle, where she directed the Environmental Assessment of a 1.8-mile streetcar environmental document through the most urban, highly touristed areas of the city. Ketelsen was also Environmental Project Manager for the East Link (Seattle to Redmond line) NEPA process, including alternatives analysis of over 26 transit routes and five maintenance facility alternatives, for Sound Transit.

Ketelsen received a Master of Landscape Architecture and a Master of City Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, from the University of California at Berkeley. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from the University of California at Davis.
