Patel, P.E., PMP, CPM, has joined the firm as Group Leader of Construction Management for TYLI’s East Region, which includes the states of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Based in Hamilton, New Jersey, Patel will provide leadership in business development and project management activities, and will be responsible for construction management/construction inspection (CM/CI) project performance, including financial results, quality of deliverables, adherence to schedules, and overall client satisfaction.

Lin International Group (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that the National University Hospital (NUH) Medical Centre has won two of Singapore’s most prestigious industry awards: the 2014 Singapore Institute of Architects’ Architectural Design Award and the Singapore Structural Steel Society’s Structural Steel Excellence Merit Award. TYLI’s Singapore office, T.Y. Lin International Pte. Ltd., was the Civil and Structural Consultant for the project.

T.Y. Lin International Announces Grand Opening of New South Runway at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport

T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that the new South Runway at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) opened for operations on September 18, 2014 — on schedule and within budget. The $791 million project was constructed in several individual work packages, including Site Preparation, Structures, and Paving, Lighting and Signage. As part of the Program Management Office (PMO) for the FLL’s New South Runway and Terminal 4 Expansion Program, TYLI was responsible for oversight and coordination of the various design and construction firms involved in the runway project.

Tung-Yen (T.Y.) Lin Named 2014 Distinguished Alumnus by University of California, Berkeley, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering

T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that the University of California, Berkeley, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) has named Tung-Yen (T.Y.) Lin (CE MS ‘33), Professor Emeritus of Civil Engineering and founder of TYLI, as an inductee of the 2014 Class of the CEE Academy of Distinguished Alumni. Professor Lin (1912-2003) held the position of Professor of Civil Engineering at the University from 1946-1976. He also served as Chairman of the Division of Structural Engineering and Structural Mechanics, Director of the Structural Engineering Laboratory, and Chairman of the Board of Educational Development. The CEE Academy of Distinguished Alumni was established in 2012 to recognize the professional achievements and contributions of CEE alumni.

Qian (Cherry) Xiong, P.E., Named T.Y Lin International’s Director of Modeling/Simulation Studies

T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that Qian (Cherry) Xiong, P.E., has been named TYLI’s Director of Modeling/Simulation Studies. In her new role, Xiong will be responsible for preparing macroscopic and microscopic simulation studies, such as analyses of travel patterns at the regional and corridor level with strong graphical interfaces and travel demand forecasting. With extensive experience using all major transportation planning and traffic operations software packages, Xiong will apply traffic operations and demand models that are prepared by government agencies, as well as develop these models when none are available.
