T.Y. Lin International Hires Michael F. Pyrz, P.E., as Northern California District Director
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that Michael F. Pyrz, P.E., has joined the firm as Northern California District Director. In his new role, Pyrz will be responsible for overseeing operations, sales, marketing, and business development for TYLI’s Northern California offices in San Francisco, Oakland, San Ramon, and Sacramento.
Pyrz comes to TYLI with more than 35 years of experience in engineering, business development, and operations management. He has an outstanding track record for establishing and directing the expansion of profitable engineering operations in major metropolitan areas. His engineering expertise includes transportation and infrastructure design, site development, civil engineering, environmental services, utility pipeline facilities, and water well, environmental monitoring well and mineral exploration drilling services.
Pyrz has overseen both public infrastructure and private land development projects, including multi-disciplinary projects with complex design elements and constraints. Clients include Riverside County in California, the Las Vegas Valley Water District in Nevada, the Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois’ Metropolitan Rail Authority, the United States Navy, and the City of Edmonton and Alberta Transportation in Canada.

Pyrz is a Registered Professional Engineer in California, Arizona, Virginia, and Illinois in the United States, and a Licensed Professional Engineer in the provinces of Alberta, Manitoba, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan in Canada. He received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York, and a Master’s Degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
