T.Y. Lin International | Lindbergh Hires Alan Lail, P.E., LEED A.P., as Senior Mechanical Engineer
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that Alan Lail, P.E., LEED A.P., has joined T.Y. Lin International | Lindbergh (TYLI | Lindbergh) as Senior Mechanical Engineer. In his new role, Lail will be responsible for group leadership, project management, and the design of major and minor mechanical systems and infrastructure.
Lail comes to TYLI | Lindbergh with more than 36 years of experience in mechanical engineering and a portfolio of complex projects that span the United States, Southeast Asia, and Egypt. His extensive knowledge includes heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, plumbing, pumping systems design, and energy modeling for LEED projects.
Among Lail’s many Federal and industrial projects in the United States, he provided HVAC and plumbing designs for more than 80 CSL Plasma facilities in 25 different states, and directed HVAC design and LEED submittal documentation for the Blount Island Port Operations Facility in Jacksonville, Florida, for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC).

A registered Professional Engineer in 31 states, including South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, and Maryland, Lail received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. He received a National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Certificate in 2002 and LEED A.P. certification in 2006. Lail remains an active member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
