The ACEC-CA Engineering Excellence Awards competition recognizes outstanding achievements in engineering and land surveying projects completed by California firms.
T.Y. Lin International Announces Completion of IL 390 Tollway in Northeastern Illinois
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized, full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces the completion of the Illinois Route 390 Tollway (IL 390) in northeastern Illinois. The first all-electronic roadway to open on the Illinois Tollway system, the new corridor has been designed to improve travel efficiency, provide western access to O’Hare International Airport, enhance air, rail, and trucking connections, and reduce traffic congestion. TYLI, as part of a joint venture with V3 Companies of Illinois, was selected by the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (ISTHA) to perform Overall Corridor Construction Management (CCM) for the four-year, $780 million transportation project.
Cabrillo Bridge Seismic Retrofit and Rehabilitation Project Wins Caltrans 2017 Seismic Safety Award
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized, full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that the Laurel Street Overcrossing/Cabrillo Bridge Seismic Retrofit and Rehabilitation Project in San Diego, California, has won the 2017 Seismic Safety Award from the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). TYLI was selected by Caltrans to upgrade the historic bridge to current earthquake safety standards. Scope of work included performing detailed inspections; determining the scope and cost of necessary rehabilitation work; developing the seismic retrofit strategy; preparing final plans, specifications, and estimate (PS&E), and providing support during construction for both the rehabilitation and seismic retrofit. The Seismic Safety Award is given by the Caltrans Seismic Advisory Board and honors the best of California’s transportation projects, with emphasis on seismic safety. The project was completed in May 2015.
Jennifer Lott, P.E., Named 2017 Member of the Year by WTS Atlanta Chapter

Lott received the Member of the Year award at the WTS Annual Scholarship Luncheon on October 26, 2017, in Atlanta, Georgia.
