Santa Fe Drive Pedestrian Underpass Now Open
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI) announces the opening of the $3.1M Santa Fe Drive Pedestrian Underpass in the City of Encinitas, California. TYLI was retained by the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) as the prime engineering consultant for design and construction support. TYLI led a multi-disciplinary team to address all aspects of the project including bike path design, geotechnical engineering, drainage, architecture, landscape architecture, and CEQA environmental document preparation and permit processing.

Working out of the Orange County & San Diego offices, Winters’ initial responsibilities will be primarily focused on west coast rail projects providing railroad engineering designs, design reviews, and constructability reviews.

Lin International (TYLI) is pleased to announce that John B. “Jack” Renton, P.E., has joined the firm as an Aviation Principal, and Marketing and Business Development Director for TYLI’s growing Aviation practice. Renton will be responsible for providing leadership, direction and management to the Aviation Line of Business (LOB), assisting in strategic and tactical planning efforts, and overseeing the development of client relations. TYLI’s Aviation LOB provides complete planning, design and program management services for aviation facilities that range in size from major international air carrier airports to regional airports and general aviation facilities.
Portland’s Sellwood Bridge Detour Completed
After 87 years in its current location spanning the Willamette River just south of downtown Portland, Oregon, the Sellwood Bridge was moved to the north so construction on the new replacement bridge can begin. With a bridge closure lasting only six days, the bridge was slid from its former permanent concrete supports to temporary steel piers. The old Sellwood bridge will be used as a detour facility for traffic, cyclists and pedestrians for the next 2.5 years while the replacement bridge is built.
T.Y. Lin International Taiwan Awarded General Consultancy for New Terminal 3 at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport
T.Y. Lin International Taiwan (TYLI), in a joint venture with NACO Netherlands Airport Consultants and Parsons Brinckerhoff, announced today that it has been awarded the Technical Service of the General Consultancy for the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport’s (TTIA) new Terminal 3 area. The joint venture will be responsible for providing planning, tender preparation, design review and professional construction management services for TTIA’s new world-class terminal.
