Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that May 30, 2015 marks the completion of the newly-rehabilitated Laurel Street Overcrossing at SR-163, also known as the Cabrillo Bridge, located in the heart of Balboa Park near downtown San Diego, CA. The rehabilitation and seismic retrofit of the 100-year-old structure has already received the 2015 Outstanding Centennial Historic Engineering Project Award from the American Society of Civil Engineers - San Diego and the 2015 Project of the Year Award from the American Public Works Association Chapter for San Diego and Imperial counties.

Richardson Medal. The George S. Richardson Medal honors a single, recent outstanding achievement in bridge engineering. TYLI, in a joint venture with Moffatt & Nichol, served as Engineer of Record on the complex seismic replacement project. TYLI and its project partners accepted the award at the 2015 IBC Bridge Awards Dinner on June 9, 2015, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

He will also oversee client relationship management, project delivery, and recruitment and retention of key staff.
Lucien D. Tender, P.E., Joins T.Y. Lin International as Lead Environmental Engineer for South Region

Tender, P.E., has joined the firm as Lead Environmental Engineer for TYLI’s South Region. Lucien comes to TYLI with 23 years of environmental engineering experience that includes environmental permitting, site assessment, and site remediation. He most recently served as Senior Project Manager and Florida Rail Sector Lead for an international professional services firm, where he worked on projects for Class I freight rail, passenger rail, and commercial clients. With a well-established background in the Florida environmental community, Lucien will join the TYLI team led by Colin Henderson to provide statewide support of environmental projects, with a focus on rail and transit.
T.Y. Lin International Announces Completion of the Brookfield Floating Bridge in Vermont
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that the new Brookfield Floating Bridge, which crosses Sunset Lake in Brookfield, Vermont, opened to traffic on Saturday, May 23, 2015. Serving as prime design consultant for the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans), TYLI performed an alternatives investigation for the replacement bridge and carried the selected alternative through final design and Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PSE) submittal. The project transformed an aging floating structure into a state-of-the-art fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) pontoon system with a life expectancy of 100 years.
