Monroe County’s Civic Center Plaza Rehabilitation Wins State and Local Project of the Year Awards
The Monroe County Civic Center Plaza Rehabilitation Project continues its winning streak and has been recognized as the 2012 Project of the Year Structures by the New York State Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA). The Civic Center was previously named 2012 Project of the Year by the Genesee Valley Chapter of the APWA. T.Y. Lin International (TYLI) led the six-member design team and Crane-Hogan Structural Systems, Inc. spearheaded the work of four construction firms.
Erie-Lackawanna Pedestrian Bridge Named Project of the Year by Association for Bridge Construction and Design
The Western New York Chapter of the Association for Bridge Construction and Design has recognized the Erie-Lackawanna Pedestrian Bridge as the 2012 Project of the Year for bridges under $2M. T.Y. Lin International (TYLI) completed the Erie-Lackawanna Rails-to-Trails Pedestrian Bridge conversion project – a project that had been a vision for nearly 25 years before becoming a reality – for the City of Rochester.
T.Y. Lin International Singapore Wins 2013 Design and Engineering Safety Excellence Awards from the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore

Ltd., has been honored with two 2013 Design and Engineering Safety Excellence Awards from the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) of Singapore. The awards, which are for the design of the National University of Singapore (NUS) Link Bridge and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, were presented to Er Yong Fen Leong, principal of T.Y. Lin International Pte. Ltd., and Er Dr. Tan Guan, senior principal of
T.Y. Lin International Pte. Ltd., by BCA guest of honor, Lee Yi Shyan, Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry and National Development of Singapore.
Tony Peterson Receives 2013 Chongqing Friendship Award
T.Y. Lin International Group, a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that Tony Peterson, Group President, has been granted the 2013 Chongqing Friendship Award. The annual Chongqing Friendship Award, which is organized by the municipal government of Chongqing in the People’s Republic of China, commends foreign experts and individuals who have made significant contributions to the City’s economic growth, construction and social development. The prestigious award was presented to Mr. Peterson by the Mayor of Chongqing, Huang Qifan, during a ceremony held on May 27, 2013 in Chongqing.

T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, has won the 2013 Gold Quill Award from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) for The Bridge at Hoover Dam (2011, Nazraeli Press), the firm’s fine art book on the design, engineering and construction of the Hoover Dam Bypass/Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. IABC’s annual Gold Quill Awards program honors the best of the best in global business communications.
