T.Y. Lin International Welcomes Vincent T. Montgomery, P.E., as Associate Vice President/National Director of Freight Rail
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI) is pleased to announce that Vincent T. Montgomery, P.E., has joined the firm as Associate Vice President/National Director of Freight Rail. Montgomery will be responsible for providing leadership, direction and management to the Transit and Rail Line of Business, assisting in strategic and tactical planning efforts, and overseeing the development of client relations. Montgomery will be assisting in business development activities around the U.S., while specifically building a practice to serve the freight railroad market.
T.Y. Lin International Hires Steven Rocklin to Head Code Compliance Group at Albany, New York Location
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI) has named Steven Rocklin as technical director of its expanding Code Compliance Group. Rocklin will head up the newly established Albany, New York office at One Commerce Plaza. Rocklin brings more than 35 years of professional experience including a lengthy career with the New York State Department of State Division of Code Enforcement and Administration.
David Goodyear, P.E., S.E., Elected to National Academy of Engineering
David Goodyear, P.E., S.E., T.Y. Lin International Senior Vice President and Chief Bridge Engineer, was recently elected to the National Academy of Engineering (NAE). Election to the NAE is considered among the highest and most exclusive professional distinctions that can be awarded an engineer in the United States. Goodyear, who is one of only 69 new American members elected from a highly-competitive field of over 500 nominations, was cited “for leadership in concrete segmental, cable-stayed, and hybrid bridge design and construction." His induction into the Academy will take place October 6-7, 2013 at the 2013 NAE Annual Meeting at the National Academy of Sciences Building in Washington, DC.
Monroe County’s Civic Center Plaza Rehabilitation Wins APWA Project of the Year Award
The Monroe County Civic Center Plaza Rehabilitation Project in Rochester, New York, has been recognized as 2012 Project of the Year by the Genesee Valley Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA). T.Y. Lin International (TYLI) led the six-member design team and Crane-Hogan Structural Systems, Inc. spearheaded the work of four construction firms.
