Greenspot Road Bridge in Highland, California Wins 2016 Project of the Year Award from American Public Works Association
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that the Greenspot Road Bridge, formally named the Jennifer Lynne Brookes Memorial Bridge, in Highland, California, has won the 2016 American Public Works Association (APWA) Project of the Year Award in the Small Cities/Rural Communities: Transportation category. TYLI served as Lead Designer of the bridge and Prime Consultant to the City of Highland for the project approval and environmental document (PA&ED), final plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E), and construction support. The Greenspot Road Bridge opened to traffic on November 11, 2014. TYLI will join its project partners in accepting the Project of the Year Award at the APWA PWX (Public Works Expo) on August 29, 2016 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
T.Y. Lin International Announces Completion of Highway 4 Widening Project in Contra Costa County, California
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized, full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces the completion of the Highway 4 Widening - Segment 3 Project (Segment 3) in Contra Costa County, California. Serving as Prime Consultant for the Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA), working in cooperation with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the Cities of Pittsburg and Antioch, TYLI was responsible for project management, environmental coordination, community outreach, design development, agency coordination and interface, utility coordination and relocation, and right-of-way engineering and acquisition support. The Highway 4 Widening Projects represent CCTA’s “Promises Made, Promises Kept” commitment to deliver critical transportation infrastructure projects to Contra Costa County communities. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on July 20, 2016 to mark the completion of the project.
Kenneth F. Burns Memorial Bridge in Massachusetts Wins 2016 NASTO America’s Transportation Award
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that the new Kenneth F. Burns Memorial Bridge (Burns Bridge) in central Massachusetts has won a 2016 America’s Transportation Award from the Northeast Association of State Transportation Officials (NASTO). The Burns Bridge took top honors for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation in the Quality of Life/Community Development category for the medium project group ($26 million-$199 million). Opening four months ahead of schedule on November 1, 2015, the new crossing represents a signature initiative of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ historic Accelerated Bridge Program.
Marwan Nader, Ph.D., P.E., Awarded 2016 Senior Prize from the International Association for Bridge Maintenance and Safety

This award is presented biennially to a bridge engineer over the age of 46 who has demonstrated distinguished achievement in the areas of Bridge Maintenance, Safety, Management, Assessment, and Life-Cycle Cost. Nader accepted the 2016 Senior Prize “in recognition of significant contributions to bridge engineering” at the Gala Dinner of the IABMAS 8th International Conference on Bridge Maintenance, Safety and Management on June 29, 2016 in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, Brazil
T.Y. Lin International Wins 2016 APWA Project of the Year Awards for San Diego Bikeway Improvements
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized, full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that the Sweetwater Bikeway, Plaza Bonita Segment, and Bayshore Bikeway Segment 4 have both received 2016 Project of the Year Awards from the American Public Works Association, San Diego/Imperial Chapter (APWA-SD). TYLI served as Prime Consultant to the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) for planning and design on both projects, which are part of the firm’s $25M on-call contract with the regional planning agency. TYLI joined SANDAG in accepting the 2016 Project of the Year Awards at the APWA-SD Awards Luncheon on May 9, 2016.
