T.Y. Lin International Wins 2012 Prize Bridge Awards from the National Steel Bridge Alliance
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, won two awards from the National Steel Bridge Alliance (NSBA). The Tempe Town Lake Pedestrian Bridge received the 2012 Prize Bridge Award in the Special Purpose category and the East-Tie-In Structure, San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge East Span Replacement received the 2012 Accelerated Bridge Construction Commendation. The awards were announced on July 10, 2012 at the Annual Meeting for AASHTO Subcommittee on Bridges and Structures held in Austin, TX.

Maine’s New Veterans Memorial Bridge Completed and Open to Traffic
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that the new Veterans Memorial Bridge, one of Maine’s most heavily traveled bridges connecting the cities of Portland and South Portland over the Fore River, is now complete and open to traffic. Built with 361 pieces of precast concrete, the 1,610-ft bridge stretches more than one-third of a mile across the Fore River.

T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, has won the 2012 Gold Quill Award from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) for its website (www.tylin.com) in the Interactive Media Design category. IABC’s annual Gold Quill Awards program honors the best of the best in business communication, offering professional and student communicators the opportunity to have their work evaluated by expert judges. This year’s competition received nearly 550 entries from 22 countries. The T.Y. Lin International Group Website was the only entry selected for an award in the Interactive Media Design category. TYLI received the Award at the Gold Quill Awards gala held on June 25, 2012 at the IABC 2012 World Conference in Chicago, IL.
Belmont US 101/Ralston Avenue Pedestrian/Bicycle Bridge Receives APWA Project of the Year Award
The Belmont US 101/Ralston Avenue Pedestrian/Bicycle Bridge was recently named an American Public Works Association (APWA) Silicon Valley Chapter Project of the Year in the Transportation, cost greater than $5 million category. T.Y. Lin International served as prime engineering consultant and provided bridge engineering services from initial concept through construction.
