T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized, full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces that Nyree Quintero, Vice President and Deputy Director, Alternative Delivery Method Group, has successfully completed the Design-Build Institute of America’s (DBIA) comprehensive education and certification testing program to achieve the design-build industry’s highest designation as a nationally certified Design-Build Professional™. A prerequisite for this certification is two to six years of substantial, documented direct project experience in design-build project delivery.

As a Class of 2020 Designated Design-Build Professional™, Quintero joins an expanding industry of design-build professionals redefining project delivery throughout the United States. DBIA Certification is the nation’s only measurable standard of an individual’s knowledge of the Design-Build Done Right™ principles for project delivery. By completing these requirements, candidates earn the right to display “DBIA” after their names, identifying them to end-users and the industry at large as experienced design-build professionals. Maintaining the credential requires a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education credit every two years.

Quintero has more than 25 years of experience in construction for the heavy civil infrastructure industry and joined TYLI in 2016. With vast expertise in large, complex projects, she has both national and international experience in construction and engineering, as well as overall project management, risk management, contract administration, and acting as Designer, Contractor, and Owner’s representative.

Quintero is a Certified General Contractor in the State of Florida and licensed as a Professional Civil Engineer by the National Engineering and Architects Council (Consejo Profesional Nacional de Ingenieria y Arquitectura) in Colombia. She earned a Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and a Master in Business Administration from the Universidad de La Sabana in Colombia.
