A Doctor of Engineering from the Politecnico of Torino, Italy, Nicola has dedicated his career to working on challenging underground projects, ranging from large underground powerhouses and metro stations to drill & blast and TBM tunneling. Over his extensive 37-year career, he has actively consulted on, and been involved in the design and construction of, over 1000 km of tunnels across four continents, navigating diverse geological conditions.

His expertise spans various aspects of underground projects, including construction management, technical management, EPB tunneling, hard rock TBM tunneling, mixed soil conditions EPB TBM tunneling, large-scale underground projects, feasibility studies, equipment selection, tendering processes, DRB, and Expert Opinions.

Throughout his career, Nicola has provided support and guidance to Owners, Designers, and Contractors for Underground Projects involving both conventional and mechanized excavation methods.
