GPO Group is now fully integrated with TYLin, a global engineering firm, serving our European and Latin American clients to design infrastructure solutions that connect and elevate communities.

"Gestión de Proyectos y Obras" (later known as "GPO Ingeniería") was founded in 1985, focused on engineering services for comprehensive public works management. GPO Ingeniería gained prominence during the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, contributing to major infrastructure projects that propelled its growth.

GPO Group is also a member of the Sidara Collaborative. This collaboration connects us to a global network of high-caliber professional firms, enabling us to serve clients worldwide.

Today, GPO Group, under the TYLin brand, has evolved into a global leader specializing in mobility and railway consulting and engineering. We offer a comprehensive range of services, including planning, design, construction, and operations, serving the mobility and transportation industries across the globe.

 

 

Legal Announcement

1980s

In 1985, Emili Vidal, Joaquim Salvatella and Álvaro Palao create Gestión de Proyectos y Obras, or GPO, which translates to Project and Construction Management.

In 1989, the company rebrands to GPO Ingeniería.

1990s

GPO Group wins and completes a number of notable projects, including Circuit de Catalunya in Montmeló, the first high speed railway project in Spain, infrastructure for the 1992 Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona, and the company's first international project, the João Landim Bridge over the Mansoa River in Guinea Bissau.

2000s

In 2008, GPO Group completes the detailed design and construction of the Madrid – Barcelona High Speed Railway Line in Sant Boi

2010s

This was a decade of incredible growth for the company, highlighted by acquisitions and regional expansion, such as Transitworks, Sistran, 2iT Ingeniería, and Sam Schwartz Consulting.

In 2016, GPO Group enters into a partnership with Dar Group, the parent company for TYLin.

2020s

In 2022, GPO Group becomes part of the TYLin Group.

In 2024, GPO Group, A TYLin Company, becomes TYLin Europe.
