T.Y. Lin International (TYLI), a globally recognized full-service infrastructure consulting firm, announces the establishment of the Project Delivery Center of Excellence (PDCoE). The PDCoE is focused on Project Manager development and support and promoting the sharing of project delivery best practices. By increasing a focus on project management, TYLI’s goal is to ensure that appropriate plans and resources are in place to successfully deliver projects as they continue to become more complex and global in nature.

“As infrastructure projects continue to increase in complexity, T.Y. Lin International is dedicated to increasing our focus on optimal project management and delivery to ensure our teams meet or exceed our clients’ expectations,” said Tom Price, P.E., Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of TYLI and the Global Infrastructure pillar of Dar Group, the firm’s parent company. “T.Y. Lin International has a long history of innovation, technical excellence, and the delivery of some of the world’s most challenging and iconic projects. The Project Delivery Center of Excellence will ensure that this tradition continues.”

The PDCoE will support all project management teams across TYLI’s Market Sectors, including Aviation, Buildings, Bridge, Rail and Transit, Roads and Highways, Ports and Marine, and Water.

PDCoE support is already being supplied to current TYLI signature projects, both domestically and internationally. These include the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge in the Philippines, Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Red Line Extension in Illinois, I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project in Arizona, Miami International Airport (MIA) Taxiway R, S, and T Project in Florida, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Runway 25L Rehabilitation in California, Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) 207th Street Yard Complex Program Management and Construction Management (PM/CM) in New York, and the Yonge and Front Streets Watermain and Sewer Improvements for the City of Toronto in Ontario, Canada.

As part of the PDCoE, TYLI has also created a new leadership role, the Portfolio Manager. Portfolio Managers will partner with existing project delivery teams to provide the additional focus and leadership needed to maximize project delivery and result in the highest levels of client satisfaction.

The following TYLI employees have been appointed to the Portfolio Manager role, along with each of their initial focus areas: Nyree Quintero, Vice President and Deputy Director, Alternative Delivery Methods Group (Alternative Delivery and Latin America); James Duxbury, P.E., Associate Vice President, Office Manager (Bridge Sector); Jim Rucker, P.E., Vice President and Southern California/Nevada Unit Manager (Western United States); Jeff Andrews, P.E., Vice President and Deputy Director, Alternative Delivery Methods Group (Northeast United States); Ahmad Hammoud, P.E., Vice President and Southeast Operations Manager (Southeast United States); and Jim Bacchus, Vice President, Private Sector (Canada).
